Wicker World was established in the spring of 1992 with the first location at 162 St. and Stony Plain Road. Dale Semeniuk managed/owned this location until lease time was up on January 31, 1994.

 

Our second location, Wicker World Warehouse, opened in June of 1995 at 8313 Argyll Road and was managed by Dwight Liliedahl. Dale joined him in 2004.

 

In June of 2008 our lease time was up again and a larger, more visible space became available to us. Our new location, at 34 Ave. and Gateway Blvd., (formerly PJ’s Pets) boasts 10,000 square feet of pristine showroom space.

 

After three and a half months of renovations - transforming a pet store to a beautiful furniture showroom - and many hours of blood, sweat and tears, and “what are we doing?” - we are now ecstatic and feeling very comfortable in our new home.

 

With our new ‘world’ of space, we are very happy to be able to offer more lines of indoor and outdoor wicker and rattan furnishings, as well as complementary home decor items.

 

We pride ourselves on prompt, friendly, efficient service. Dwight brings many years of excellent sales experience and skillls. He is definitely a “people person” and has a lot of fun with our customers, and he usually knows someone you know too!

 

Dale, of course, is perfect! She is also the author of this bio. She keeps everyone in tow and the store looking clean and beautiful.

 

And where would we be without “our James”? James Renaud is our #1 employee and has been with us for five years. He has led us into “computer land” and has taught us some of his skills in technology. Our customers love him for his excellent service and knowledge of our product, and, of course, for his handsome smile.

 

Mary came on board at the new location and brings her excellent retail selling skills and an great sense of humour.
